OKRs and Individual Performance

Organizations often try to link OKRs and individual performance, but this creates conflicting priorities and can lead to “sandbagging” of key results metrics for financial gain. Removing monetary incentives can avoid this pitfall and shift the focus to team-based OKRs, which should be representative of the team’s performance. Bridging OKRs and individual performance may seem appealing on paper, but it is a common mistake that should be avoided.
